White (albo) Variegation Monstera deliciosa

Monstera Albo variegata (sectorial)

  • Variegation: Blocked patches of variegation, often showing half moons of whitish coloring. Risk of reverting to all green or all white.
  • Origin: Unsure (comment if you have leads)

Monstera Albo variegata (marbled)

  • Variegation: White, light green, dark green, marbled, striations of color. We refer to this as Kobe Beef variegation.
  • Origin: Unsure (comment if you have leads)

Large form Monstera Albo variegata

  • Variegation: Just as the small form, but with STACKED nodes within 0.5cm-2cm internodal spacing. Winged Geniculums, inner perferations. 
  • Origin: Unsure

Yellow Variegation Monstera deliciosa (aurea)

Monstera deliciosa Aurea variegata (sectorial)

  • Variegation: Blocked patches of yellow variegation, often showing half moons with initially green variegation that burns into a yellow color over time. Risk of reverting to all green or all variegated lime green/yellow.
  • Origin: Likely seed grown sport
  • Price 3+ Leafer A+ Var USA: $150-$250

Monstera deliciosa Aurea variegata (marbled)

  • Variegation: Yellow marble dark green, streations of color. Starts as lime green, becomes yellow over time.
  • Origin: Unsure (comment if you have leads)

Monstera deliciosa Yellow Marilyn variegata

  • Variegation: A larger form Monstera aurea that tends to have marbled yellow / neon lime-green ish variegation which contrasts starkly with the underlying hunter green of monstera.
  • Origin: Kunzo Nishihata in Japan
  • Price 3+ Leafer A+ Var USA: $700-$1200

 

Monstera deliciosa Super Orange

  • Variegation: Similar marbled variegation of the Yellow Marilyn; also being large form. Primary difference is the shade of yellow / orange of the variegation.
  • Origin: Brazilian. Now growing in Indonesia by Mr Noldy Topan
  • Price 3+ Leafer A+ Var USA: $1,500+


Monstera deliciosa Lemon Pompon

  • Variegation: Cream, mints, yellows, overlaying a base of the hunter green monstera. Likely large form. SOURCE
  • Origin: Unknown. Likely Chinese or Thai
  • Price 3+ Leafer A+ Var USA: $2,500+

 

 

Monstera deliciosa Thai Constellation (cream / flecked)

Thai Constellation (Standard Variegation)

  • Variegation: Cream colored flecking that resembles a constellation. Splashes of cream, mint green, and white contrast against the hunter green monstera leaves.
  • Origin: Found wild in thailand in 1970s (from tissue culture

Thai Constellation Creme Brulee / Crème Brûlée

  • Variegation: Like the original, just with an INTENSE amount of variegation. Cream colored flecking that resembles a constellation. Far less hunter green monstera coloring at the leaf base.

Monstera Green Snow Thai Con

  • Variegation: Similar to Creme Brulee, but with less base patches of deep cream yellow variegation, and more green-ish flecking than normal thai con; hence the name green snow. Can be challenging to differentiate from high var thai cons
  • Origin: from tissue culture

Creme Brulee vs Green Snow vs Legacy vs Platinum

Legacy Monstera Thai Constellation

  • Variegation: A SUPER high variegation thai constellation. Maximum flecking levels, but with less BIG patches of cream yellow than the Creme Brulee base patches of deep cream yellow variegation, but more than the platinum.
  • Origin: from tissue culture
  • Price 3+ Leafer A+ Var USA: $300-$800

Platinum Thai Constellation

  • Variegation: Looks closer related to the flecking of a mint, with some underlying variegation. Variegation is lightly colored white. Typically no big patches of underlying variegation. Base green color tends to appear muted.
  • Origin: from tissue culture

Thai Constellation Medusa aka Monstera Tattoo

  • Variegation: Similar to the normal thai con, but with dark green stripes on the undersides. Exhibits leaf morphology mutations with the leaf edges twisting due to aberrant cell structure in layers.
  • Origin: from tissue culture
  • Price 3+ Leafer A+ Var USA: $4,000-$6,000

Monstera Electrolyte / Electro light

  • Variegation: Similar to the creme brulee thai con, but with lime green splashes of variegation instead of cream color. Contrasts beautifully with the classic hunter green monstera base leaf color.
  • Origin: from tissue culture
  • Price 3+ Leafer A+ Var USA: $7,000-$9,000

Tri Color Thai Constellation aka Monstera Miracle

  • Variegation: Somehow contains ALL THREE variegations: splashing of thai con, yellow-green of monstera aurea, some patches of albo.
  • Origin: Lopuri, Thailand tissue culture lab

Monstera Siam Mint

  • Variegation: Deep hunter green base with yellow variegation in mint-like pattern throughout. Instead of white variegation of the mint, has yellow / lime green-ish variegation.

Monstera Starlight

  • Variegation: Looks like variegation meteors are showering the leaves in flecks. Often carries classical thai constellation variegation underneath, alongside the huntergreen. Flecks tend to be minty green and white in color.
  • Origin: from tissue culture

Mint-like Monstera deliciosa Sports

Monstera deliciosa Mint

  • Variegation White and minty green striations consistently present through the leaves. Full Mint is considered when blocks of typical hunter green of monstera is absent from leaves.
  • Origin:  From seed in Japan WWII era

Monstera deliciosa White Monster

  • Variegation White dominant, with slight green venation showing through leaves. Leaves begin highly white in variegation, and veins darken as time goes on.
  • Origin:  Kunzo Nishihata in Japan.

Monstera Jungle Mint aka NOID

  • Variegation Deep Greens, minty greens, sectorial, with patches of albo and minty variegations. Wide splits and perforations in leaves, and various marbled, striations of color.
  • Origin:  Barry Schwartz

Monstera Thrasher Sport Mint

  • Variegation: Sectorial multi types of variegation. Expressing a mixture of mint, albo, green on green, and some nearly aurea variegation
  • Origin:  USA Tyler Thrasher seed sport
  • Price 3+ Leafer A+ Var USA: $1500-$3000

Monstera deliciosa bulbasaur

  • Variegation: Mint green dominant variegation, with VERY minor hunter green showing through. Often multiple shades of mint green. Similar looking to Viet Truong Sa
  • Origin: Years ago Yang Liu found this as a seed sport of a Monstera deliciosa he named it white Bulbasaur. SOURCE
  • Price 3+ Leafer A+ Var USA: $12,000-18,000

Monstera deliciosa Devil Monster aka Circuit Monstera (READ ABOUT THE DEVIL MONSTER ORIGIN HERE)

  • Variegation: Similar color structure as White Monster, with the leaf morphology of a ribcage. The rarest, and most expensive monstera on the market today!
  • Origin: Potentially originated in China, and rumor is it was initially named "Circuit board monstera" because of its veins that resemble circuit wiring. SOURCE - shown on Instagram in September 2023.

Monstera deliciosa Viet Truong Sa

  • Variegation: Mint green dominant variegation, with minor hunter green showing through. Similar looking to bulbasaur / shamrock shake.
  • Origin: The claimed plant originated as a Ethyl methanesulfonate-induced, whole-plant mutation of an unnamed Monstera deliciosa.
  • Price 3+ Leafer A+ Var USA: $4,000-$12,000

Monstera deliciosa Shamrock Shake

  • Variegation: Mint green dominant variegation leaves, with hunter green venation. New leaves come in lime green, and become more muted as they age. Flecked and sectorial variegation. Similar looking to bulbasaur / Viet Truong Sa.
  • Origin: Florida grown tray of Monstera from Seed.
  • Price 3+ Leafer A+ Var USA: $4,000-$6,000

  • Variegation Thick, multi layered variegated leaves showing light yellows, mint greens, hunter green, flecked minty greens; layered like an oil painting. Typically displays morphology mutations.
  • Origin:  Florida seed grown by Michael D'Andrea

Monstera Silver Sands

  • Variegation: Silver sands expressed a flecked silver and white variegation that overlays the classic deep hunter green of monstera. Tends to have contorted, round leaves.
  • Origin:  Mike D'Andrea purchased in Oct 2022 at the First Annual International Exotic Plant Shows in Chiangmai grown sport by Michael D'Andrea

  • Variegation: Ocean Mint appears to be a large form mint-like deliciosawith markings similar to oceana, but with a larger variation of mint colors of variegation
  • Origin:  Seed grown sport possibly found by Mike D'Andrea.
  • Price 3+ Leafer A+ Var USA: $1,500-$2,500

  • Variegation: Oceana is a reference to the variegated markings that are similar to ocean waves, or foam on the ocean.
  • Origin:  Seed grown sport found by Mike D'Andrea, sold and registered cultivar by Logan Conley.

  • Variegation: Oceana is a reference to the variegated markings that are similar to ocean waves, or foam on the ocean.
  • Origin:  Seed grown sport from Thailand

Monstera Green on Green GoG variegata (sectorial)

  • Variegation: Blocked patches of variegation, often showing half moons of lime green coloring. Risk of reverting to all green or all white.
  • Origin: seed sport grown

Monstera Green on Green GoG variegata (marbled)

  • Variegation: light, lime green against dark green. Expresses marbled striations of color that can be challenging to see until they age 2-3 weeks after unfurling.
